Cyclone vs. Mr Muscle's Own!

Here follows a public service announcement:

I know at least Dobbin and Lee use or have used Maximuscle cyclone, well... stop paying £30-40 per tub because if you go on to myprotein.co.uk (customizer) you can nicely copy out the ingredients list frm the back of your current tub, spec the flavor to whatever you like all for a whopping £15/Kg (a little more delivered but still less than £20/kg) which is a shed load less than Maximuscle.

Maximuscle even give you the ingredients in nice handy percentages!

If you're too lazy to even do that, then they make something that looks strangely similar (in ingredients and name) to cyclone for less than £15!!!

I don't think you can quite replicate the maximuscle formula at myprotein - you'll miss out on chromium which is important for making sure insulin sensitivity is maintained when using a formula which is based on the anabolic actions of insulin. Secondly you can't get MCTs in the myprotein customiser, so you'll also miss out on the benefits there too (which are a fat that has a very poor conversion to body fat and a high instant energy yield).

Other missing ingredients:

Beta-Ecdysterone (muscle growth)
Bioperine (nutrient assimilation)
Bicarbonates (pH levels)

I'm assuming you used the most expensive whey isolate and added in glutamine peptides - if not we need to add that expense in too.

The other downside to myprotein is that because the formulas are not instantised, they can be a hassled to mix, and if I'm at work or out and about, it can get messy! Myprotein have done well since their launch and have forged a niche for bulk buying but maximuscle are quality - just look out for discounts and you can get loads off cyclone.

I can believe they're quality but with the recent price increase at Decathlon they are quickly spiraling out of my price range!
The glutamine was the highest quality etc.
I'm still slightly dubious about some of your points, per 100g:

Beta-Ecdysterone (muscle growth), 66,7mg

Bioperine (nutrient assimilation)8.33mg

Bicarbonates (pH levels) 833mg

Thats VERY low. I'm not saying they do nothing but the consumption (per 60g serving) is absolutely tiny.

ps - anonymous posting is for girls...

There are a few out their right now that are better than Cyclone and Hurricane XS

New Bulk Supplements provider www.bulksupplementsdirect.co.uk do a product called BSD Regenerate here

http://www.bulksupplementsdirect.co.uk/khxc/gbu0-catshow/BSD_Regenerate.html

Excellent multi protein and multi carbohydrate with Creapure, Glutamine, HMB, Ribose and Leucine

Having used Maximuscles and MP's I can say that Regenerate blows the pants off those two and at a fraction of the price!
